Jazz Ensemble Class is designed to introduce and develop jazz performance through the rehearsal and performance of quality jazz literature.  Jazz theory is studied as a basis for improvisation.  Jazz performance techniques are developed through listening and imitation.  Musical, historical and theoretical concepts are discussed and applied appropriately to every piece of music.  Jazz Ensemble meet once a week after school for full credit (students may sign up for this class after the school year begins). 
During the 2008-2009 school year, Jazz Ensemble will meet on Wednesdays, from 2:30PM-4:00PM.
