Please join us at the 4th Annual Jazzcats Café at Centreville High School. Two outstanding bands will perform live jazz music. The Centreville High School JazzCats plus the world renowned Dave Detwiler & The White House Band will play for your enjoyment.

February Concerts
We warmly welcome you to attend the Centreville High School and Liberty Middle School bands at their pre-assessment concerts on Wednesday and Thursday, February 20th and 21st. The concerts will be held at Centreville High School. Both Wednesday and Thursday evening performances begin at 7:00pm.
These concerts are in preparation for their upcoming assessments, which are the musical equivalent of the SOL tests. The official assessments will have judges which give comments and ratings on the band's performance.
Wednesday's performance will feature the CVHS Wind Ensemble, the CVHS Symphonic Band and Liberty Wind Ensemble. Thursday's performance will feature the CVHS Concert Band and Liberty Concert Band.
These concerts are free - you and your neighbors are welcome to attend both nights!

Winter Band Concert – Thursday, December 6th at 7pm - FREE
At our Winter Concert, the Wildcat Bands will be collecting donations in support of “Island Harvest, a food bank for Long Island” (New York). They are in “dire need” of personal care items, such as shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, Q-tips, soap, etc, for those people who were affected by the devastation of Hurricane Sandy. If you feel so inclined to donate any items, there will be a box at the entrance to the auditorium for you to place them in. We will be shipping the items directly to New York on Friday. Thank you!
Tournament of Champions Marching Band Competition
Our CVHS Marching Band is participating in the 17th edition of the Tournament of Champions Marching Band Competition
Date: Saturday, October 20, 2012
CVHS is competing against 30 other high schools. This competition is in preparation
to the following weekend's event, the state marching band competition.
Performances are based on 15-minute intervals, which include entering the field of
competition, performance and exit of the field.

Virginia Band & Orchestra Directors Association (VBODA) State Marching Band Assessments
Our CVHS Marching Band is participating in the Virginia Band & Orchestra Directors Association (VBODA) State Marching Band Assessments on Saturday, October 27, 2012. This is the big state competition that our kids have been working so hard to prepare. VBODA will sponsor the 32nd Annual Marching Band Assessment. The event will be held in seven locations throughout the state.
All groups will be assessed by 7 judges. The breakdown of judges in the press box is:
3 music performance,
2 visual performance, and
2 general effect.
The Band has 15 minutes to run and complete their program. The time will include: set-up, warm-up, performance and exit. Once a group performs the first note of a warm-up their 15 minutes will start!

4th Annual Manassas Park Fall Showcase of Bands

The Centreville High School Marching Band is honored to participate in the 4th Annual Manassas Park Fall Showcase of Bands.
To encourage growth and development of high school bands, the Fall Showcase of Bands includes judges who evaluate the marching bands on the field, class sizes to keep like-sized bands together for healthy competition, comprehensive sheets that fully explain the scoring system, and a non-scoring clinic judge to have direct interaction with the band right after their performance.
Details:
Event starts at 11:30 am and continues until 4:30 pm, with an awards ceremony starting at 4:45 pm.
Centreville High School Marching Band performs at 2:55 pm. Please come out to cheer on our kids!
There will be a concession stand, with burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, chips and drinks available for purchase.

From the north / east
From I-66, take Route 28 south. Once in Manassas Park, turn left onto Manassas Drive (Carpool, Shell station on corner). At the next light, turn left onto Euclid Avenue. The stadium is on your right. Buses and equipment vehicles should continue straight through the stop sign and follow the signs to the back of the school for parking.
From the south / west
From Route 234 bypass, take Prince William Pkwy north to Manassas. Prince Wm Pkwy becomes Liberia avenue. After the bridge for the railroad tracks, turn right onto Euclid Avenue. Pass Osbourn Park HS on your right and continue straight until the light at Manassas Drive. Stay straight and you will see the stadium on your right. Buses and equipment vehicles should continue straight through the stop sign and follow the signs to the back of the school for parking.

Sept. 22 -- Free For All -- Itinerary
Competition at J.R. Tucker high school in Henrico, Va.
Press Release: The 8th Annual J. R. Tucker Free-For-All
Centreville High School Marching Band will be participating in The 8th Annual J. R. Tucker Free-For-All.
The Free-For-All is a non-competitive marching band show that includes an on-site workshop. There are no entrance fees, no admission cost and programs are free. In addition to the workshop, judges will give written and/or taped comments. The workshop is designed to be engaging for the students, but with an eye towards the V.B.O.D.A. State Marching Band Festival, which will be held on October 27, 2012.
Centreville High School will be participating with over 20 other high school bands this year.
